                                                                                                                                                                 The story of BLOOD FALL begins around 5million years ago and was discovered in 1911,by Griffth Taylor ,an Antarctican scientist.

Water continuously emerges from a subglacial lake 400m underground .When East Actarctica was inundated by the sea ,forming a salty lake.Some 3 million years later glacier began to form and moved over it isolating the lake and its habitant from the rest of the world in a biological time collapses.As the salty water slowly froze, it made the remaning water saltier and saltier.The water is also chock full of iron scrapedup by the glacier from the bedrock below there is almost no oxygen floating around under the ice but when the water reaches the surface the oxygen in air turns the iron to rust and not just a tawny  brown rust but ,a rich ,red ,sagnine rust that gives the fall its name “BLOOD FALL”.

CAUSES: The water is rich in iron ,which gives oxygenated water its red color as HUMAN BLOOD
